Dallas Stars Lose Again, Fall to Avalanche in Game 4

Stars' Playoff Hopes Dwindling After Fourth Straight Home Playoff Loss

Robertson Scores Power-Play Goal, Oettinger Strong in Net

The Dallas Stars are in an all-too familiar hole. For the sixth consecutive playoff series over three postseasons, the Stars have lost the fourth game at home, this time falling to the Colorado Avalanche 4-1 in Game 4 of their second-round series.

Jason Robertson scored a power-play goal for the Stars, but it wasn't enough to overcome a strong performance from Avalanche goalie Darcy Kuemper, who stopped 33 of 34 shots. Jake Oettinger was solid in goal for the Stars, making 29 saves.

The Stars now trail the series 3-1 and will need to win three straight games to advance to the Western Conference Finals. Game 5 is scheduled for Friday night in Denver.
