Queens Park Rangers interested in signing United States defender
Queens Park Rangers are reportedly interested in signing United States defender Walker Zimmerman. The 29-year-old is currently playing for Nashville SC in Major League Soccer, but he has been linked with a move to England in the past.
Zimmerman is a versatile defender who can play at center back or right back. He has been capped 28 times by the United States and was part of the squad that won the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
QPR are in need of defensive reinforcements after conceding 64 goals in the Championship last season. Zimmerman would bring experience and quality to the back line, and he would be a valuable addition to the squad.
However, it remains to be seen whether QPR can agree on a deal with Nashville SC. The American club is reportedly reluctant to sell Zimmerman, and they would likely demand a significant fee for his services.
QPR are also interested in signing other defenders this summer. They have been linked with moves for Conor Coady of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Eric Bailly of Manchester United.
