Early Life and College Career

John Maxwell Homa was born on November 19, 1990, in Woodland Hills, California. He attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he played collegiate golf. In his senior year in 2013, Homa won the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship.

Professional Career

Homa turned professional in 2013 and joined the Web.com Tour. He earned his PGA Tour card in 2015 and has since become a consistent performer on the tour.

PGA Tour Victories

Homa has won five PGA Tour events, including the Wells Fargo Championship in 2021 and the Genesis Invitational in 2023. He has also recorded several top-10 finishes in major championships.

2023 Masters Tournament Performance

At the 2023 Masters Tournament, Homa made history by becoming the solo leader after the first round. Despite a bogey on the 18th hole on Friday, Homa carded a 5-under 67, which was his best round ever at Augusta National.

Social Media and Other Honors

Homa is known for his active social media presence and his humorous personality. He has over 1 million followers on Twitter and Instagram.
